D2 Tool Steel Sheet - High Carbon, High Chromium

D2 steel, also known as X155 CrVMo 12 or 1.2379, is an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel. It is widely used for dies, punches, cutting tools, and industrial blades due to its excellent wear resistance, hardness, and dimensional stability.

D2 Tool Steel sheet - Condition Supplied

D2 is heat treatable and will offer a hardness in the range 55-62 HRC, and is machinable in the annealed condition. D2 steel shows little distortion on correct hardening. D2 steel’s high chromium content gives it mild corrosion resisting properties in the hardened condition.

N.B. We do not supply Mill Certificates with orders, we only supply Certificates of Conformity.
