CS70 Annealed (1.1231)

CS70 carbon steel, also known as C67S or AISI/SAE 1070, is a high-carbon steel within BS1449, widely used for the manufacture of springs and precision-formed components.

In the annealed condition (185 VPN max), CS70 is easy to press, form, and shape. After forming, the steel is typically hardened and tempered to achieve optimal spring properties and strength.

BSS stocks CS70 in sheet and coil form, ready for industrial or engineering use.
